Selection of O-ring fluorine adhesive
Fluorine rubber O-ring is a commonly used sealing element, and there are three most important matters in the design and selection process:
Firstly, groove size:
The O-ring is installed in the groove, and in order to achieve the best sealing effect, we should set an initial preload. In the design process of grooves, both static and dynamic sealing should be considered. The cross-sectional size of the fluorine rubber O-ring is directly proportional to the height of the groove. If the groove is too wide or too narrow, there will be excessive stretching and tightening dimensions during installation, which can easily lead to insufficient shear force or interference during use, leading to damage to the seal and oil leakage.
Second: Work Environment and Media
This includes temperature, medium, and frequency. The working temperature of fluororubber is around 250 ℃, and when working at this temperature, full consideration should be given to the actual work effect. Fluorine rubber O-rings have a wide range of media, including inorganic salts, water, hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, lithium grease, etc. If binary fluorine rubber is used, secondary vulcanization must be used. Frequency refers to the reciprocating speed and rotational speed of the sealing element. Due to the good wear resistance of fluororubber, most working environments can meet the requirements.
Third: Work Form
According to the working form, it can be divided into static sealing and dynamic sealing. According to the working form of the oil cylinder, it can be divided into: hole sealing, shaft sealing, and rotary sealing; Regarding the sealing of holes, the inner diameter should be equal to or slightly smaller than the diameter of the groove. When installing axially, consider the direction of pressure. According to their installation methods, they can be further divided into radial devices and axial devices. When using radial devices for shaft sealing, the error between the inner diameter of the O-ring and the diameter being sealed should be minimized as much as possible.
